Employers in England · Growth and Skills Levy
A fully funded AI Leadership Programme for your leaders and managers, worth up to £18,000 per person. Over 15 months, learners fix real problems in your business as their coursework. Levy money paid in since 1 August 2026 expires after 12 months, and whatever you don't spend is gone.
Start with the problem, not the course
That answer becomes their coursework. Your business is the case study, so every module leaves something real behind. Pick the one that stings and we'll carry it into your eligibility check.
How it works
You never fill in a funding form on your own. We check, we call, we complete the enrolment with you, and the provider confirms your funding.
A few quick questions about your business, your levy and the problem you'd fix. You see your likely result straight away.
About 60 secondsClaire does your levy maths with you, confirms eligibility, and matches your problem to the right cohort.
Up to 30 minutesWe complete the enrolment form together on the call. The provider runs the funding checks and confirms your place on the next cohort.
Provider confirms fundingThe programme
Your leaders learn to put AI to work by doing it, on your problems, with your data, inside your business. Every month they ship something real.
Your funding, in plain English
If your annual pay bill is over £3 million, you pay 0.5% of it into the apprenticeship levy. From 1 August 2026 the rules tightened: new funds expire after 12 months, and the government's 10% top-up has stopped. What you don't spend, you lose.
| Your situation | Learner age | Your share of up to £18,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Levy payer with funds | Any | £0 |
| Levy payer, pot spent | 16–24 | £0 |
| Levy payer, pot spent | 25+ | 25% · up to £4,500 |
| Pay bill under £3M | 16–24 | £0 |
| Pay bill under £3M | 25+ | 5% · up to £900 |
| Staff working mainly outside England | — | Not eligible |
Your share of the cost, for starts from 1 August 2026. Funding covers training and assessment only, never salaries. Learners must gain substantial new skills. All amounts are "up to" and depend on eligibility; the provider confirms before anyone is enrolled. Sources: GOV.UK apprenticeship funding · apprenticeship unit funding rules · Skills England AU0009
Who delivers it
fundedAItraining.co.uk checks your eligibility, prepares your enrolment and introduces you to the training provider. We never deliver training ourselves.
On the official register of apprenticeship training providers, so your levy can be spent with them.
Delivery quality is inspected. This is not a vendor's product course with a certificate stapled on.
Learners are mentored by people who have deployed AI in real businesses.
Every module ships something into your company: real assets, not slides.
How we're paid: the training provider pays us an introducer fee when a learner enrols. You never pay us anything, and it doesn't change your funding.
Add-on option
Once your team is enrolled on the programme, senior managers can add a short AI strategy unit: 30+ hours, live online, with a Level 5 certificate. It also suits leaders who can't commit to 15 months right now. It's funded in full for most employers (funding value £750).

Good, keep them. They teach one vendor's tools from one vendor's point of view. They don't give you governance, priorities, or a plan fitted to your business. They also don't use your levy, so you're paying for training twice while your levy expires.
It's about six hours a week, and the projects are done inside your own business, on problems you already have. The time isn't taken from the job. It is the job. If a senior leader can't commit to 15 months yet, ask Claire about the short AI strategy unit.
It's your own money. You've paid 0.5% of your pay bill since 2017. Since August, every new pound disappears 12 months after it lands if you don't use it. The only question is whether it trains your leaders or goes back to the Treasury.
Yes, if you work for an employer in England. The course is funded through your employer, so they need to agree to it. Take the eligibility check and choose "Me". We'll give you a short note to forward to your manager or HR.
A government-registered, Ofsted-regulated training provider. We introduce you by name on your result call, and they run every eligibility and funding check before anyone is enrolled.
Yes, and it's a good deal. On the programme, learners aged 16–24 are fully funded, and for learners aged 25+ you pay 5% (at most £900 of up to £18,000). Larger levy payers can also transfer up to 50% of their funds to other businesses, which could cover your share.

This site gives general information about government funding for apprenticeship units and apprenticeships in England. It is not financial or legal advice.
Funding rules are set by the Department for Education and can change. All amounts are "up to" figures and depend on eligibility. The training provider confirms eligibility and funding before any enrolment, and its decision is final.
Funded AI Training is an introducer. We are not a training provider, we do not hold or receive apprenticeship funding, and we do not charge employers or learners. The provider pays us an introducer fee.
